Overlander Teams Up with Hireco and TRAILAR for Sustainable Solar Solution

info951595

We are excited to announce our latest collaboration with both Overander and Hireco to bring TRAILAR solar technology to a fresh order of x25 Iveco welfare van builds.

The fitting of our premium CIGS solar modules will offer a range of key benefits for the operators and welfare vehicle users.

Extending Operational Life and Reducing Downtime

The addition of solar panels allows the vehicles to harness renewable energy and keep the welfare battery system in good health. This additional charging from solar will result in longer, off grid operational hours in the field, enhancing overall efficiency and reducing any excess fuel burn from generators.

Incorporating TRAILAR solar power not only decreases downtime but also extends the operational life of onboard systems to run cooking facilities, heating, lighting and ensuring that these welfare vans continue to perform at their peak for longer periods.

We’re thrilled to be working with Overlander and building further on our existing relationship with Hireco. The collaboration highlights the commitments to continually improve and innovate whilst driving those all-important sustainability credentials.

Adding the TRAILAR solution to the Iveco welfare vans will help meet the reliability demands on the vehicle, aiding the full operational supply-chain. The vehicle and welfare batteries are both kept operationally ready, significantly reducing any unplanned downtime which can be a costly interruption to any business and an inconvenience for customers.  Even when the vehicles are not in use, the system will ensure that the batteries are always kept at the most optimum level by utilising the solar energy to charge.

This non-stop care will also help to extend the component life, more than doubling the lifespan of batteries. ‘ Adam Buckley Mayes,  Chief Technical Officer TRAILAR
